Weight Lifting Exercises : Weight Lifting Exercises: Close-Grip Barbell Bench Presses

What I’m going to be performing is the close
grip barbell bench press. What you want to do is kind of measure it out with your thumbs
and then make the grip close. What this focuses on is the middle of the chest and also building
a thicker appearance on the chest. You want to control the weight coming down and going
up. Now with a close grip bench press usually you want to do a lighter weight than you would
do with the traditional bench press. It’s just a little harder on the triceps and on
the chest doing a close grip. With this exercise you want to do about 3-4 sets and about 8-10
reps. Mainly focus on the stretch on the bottom and the flex on top, and that’s how you perform
a close grip bench press.

  1. well, it WOULD be a chest excercise if his elbows would go more to the sides, with arms at 90 degrees to his body, but he is clearly training triceps now .

  2. That is why you have to make sure you measure it right. You can feel what's working just use common sense.

  3. Hey guys. Fine film.

My older brother used to be a fatty. He went from 279 lbs of fat into 210 lbs of real lean muscle mass. I realized I was dumbfounded. I just subscribed personally as I would like to maximize my physique. He made use of the Muscle Building Bible (Google it)…
