X-H1: Steve Christo x Gymnastics -Proud of- / FUJIFILM

I never actually thought that I would be good at it or that I would ever go anywhere
near the Olympics to be honest In 2013 I won the national championships on the balance beam Let’s do something where you’re flat
when you don’t need to be in the air and do something where you’re extending I’ve been a professional photographer since 1986 Yeah, do you want to do that hand stand thing
you were telling me about showing me I met Emma on story starts with her being in the national team winning national championships Then through injury she has fallen
out of the Australian team I came back and about a week into training
as I jumped my achilles snapped I’m here to document her comeback Now my focus is on the Commonwealth Games As a child I always looked at things
from a different perspective I always used to lie on the ground and look at things from an ant’s perspective and then I’d walk up and stand on a ladder
and look at things looking down Translating that to photography was quite an easy thing Capturing something that’s gone forever
has drawn me into photography and I think that’s why I love it so much I always get this little voice in my head
that says okay move over to there that lights gonna come across area
and it could look really nice I never go mean wanting a certain picture
I just go in there with a clear head The X-H1 is fantastic It’s got a silent shutter It’s got a great stabilization Feels great in my hand I’m very pleased with the outcome and how I’ve photographed Emma today The pictures are really really good
