Hey guys I’m Carl and today I’m going to go over some steps on how you can learn a handstand forward roll on the floor so let’s get started. First you have to have a pretty good forward roll And also a nice handstand. For a forward roll you’re going to start with your feet together place your hands flat on the ground you’re going to lift your hips up and you want to make sure you support yourself on your arms as you roll You’re going to duck your head support yourself a little on your arms grab your shins and stand up. For the next step you’re going to start with one foot out in front just like a handstand and you’re still going to do a forward roll You’re going to step forward place your hands on the ground make sure that you support yourself on your arms you’re going to roll and grab your shins and stand up. And the next steps are you’re just going to try and go a little bigger each time until eventually you get to a handstand. And in the beginning when you’re first learning a handstand forward roll you’re going to be able to bend your arms a little bit but eventually you want to try and keep your arms straight the whole time. And when you’re doing your handstand you’re going to be looking at your hands out of the top part of your eye and when you’re ready to roll you’re going to duck your head and round your back And these steps can also be done on a softer mat or also the tumbletrack to make it a little bit easier in the beginning. So that’s it for today’s video just a few steps on how you can take a regular forward roll and slowly turn it into a handstand forward roll by going a little bit bigger and a little bit bigger.
