  2. Dr.Mike, I have a question, when you said “this is supposed to be fun, not torture” can you give me some ways to make going to the gym or doing sports fun? I do know that you said having a workout buddy could make it more enjoyable, but at the moment, it’s just not a viable option for me at the moment. I also get very bored and unmotivated at the gym and while doing sports because those types of activities just don’t interest me, but at the same time, I’d like to make my muscle mass higher and my body fat level lower, so is there anything you could recommend for me? Thank you!

  4. So you are doctor and you dont know that to lose fat you need a caloric deficit, you can eat healthy shit all day but if you overeat, you wont lose anything.

  5. The personal trainer in me couldn't help but focus on your squat form lol try dropping lower and make sure you keep your core tight!! You can dig deeper in your hips if you break 90 in your squat!!

  10. I slept for 3-4 hours a night for 3 years straight. I had one day a month where i would sleep 20 hours, then continue the 3-4 hour sleeps cycle. My body and mind paid the prize in the end, and i am still struggling with the aftereffects.

  11. I want to lose weight and I'm already controlling the food part of the process, but when it comes to exercising, everywhere I look people say I need cardio. The problem is, I ABSOLUTELY HATE cardio for my own reasons, so I'm wondering if anybody has some other idea?

  15. Doctor Mike, you said to gain muscle: “Low amount of reps with a high amount of weight” How do you gain when you are a beginner and don’t want to pull anything and harm other muscle groups.. (synergist).. also what if you have skeletal conditions such as scoliosis? I know to be aware and cautious of the amount of weight being used but have any advice?

  16. I know this is an old video and probably won't see this, but I am currently 26 lbs down in my journey to lose 100 lbs. You're giving some excellent advice here and I definitely have to remember to keep my goals realistic as I continue 🙂

  17. Dress to fool is so true. You don't have to wear the tightest clothing, but your clothes should be fitted to your size. Know your measurements if you're ordering online and always try on what you buy at the store!

  18. Me: uses the stairs instead of the elevator at school because I feel it help me keep off weight
    Also me: gets in my car and drives to the store, which is not even a mile away, when all I need is a drink>.>

  20. To anyone watching this in 2020: Plant-based used to NOT mean vegan. It just meant making veggies have a more important place in your diet essentially. So when he says plant-based, he is not actually telling you to be vegan. You can eat your meat.
