So what we have done, we’ve gone down to the Norwood Oval and we’ve put you through the first of many fitness challenges. This is how it went down. The day has arrived. We are here at the iconic Norwood Oval. Rowey insisted that we film here. I wanted it at Alberton Oval over, but he’s got a free kick. Norwood Oval here to put Rowey through his paces all thanks to Sportsmed and to observe the challenges expert physio Ned is along with us to give us some tips. for the footy season. Fair call. I’m ready, Kane. Here is a mighty strip. I need to see yours. Only one thing matters on Footy SA – it’s who wins out of the Crows and Port and who finishes higher. Correct. And it starts here today. Hey, Ned, laugh at that. I think he’s right. Oh, please! Challenge #1 – Start with some strength and I brought you a little incentive. Oh, you haven’t? Oh, please. That’s too far away. Ready? On your marks. Get set. Go! 30 seconds. What’s a good score? 60? 60 and 30? Hey, hey, hey, look to your left. Old Stemore. Look at Stemore. Can you just get your arms down a little bit lower. Is your tummy touching the ground? How many’s that? This is strategic. I’m just gonna have a little break. C’mon, Stephen! Go you Crows! Punch out 10. I’m not sure who won. Well I don’t think we are the best exponent of the push-up, but I’m gonna claim it – challenge #1. I won. Unfortunately you didn’t. You’ve still got four challenges to make up for it. It’s the last doughnut I’m eating. Ned was there to observe it, our physio from Sportsmed. Ned, what did you see? Generally speaking push-ups are a great exercise for upper limb strength and any resistance exercise is good for bone density as well. You can modify it, you can do it off your knees, you can do half sort of depth which is probably what Rowey was up to, so it’s easy to do. If your shoulders can tolerate it, it’s a great exercise. Kane was the winner. I don’t like the side profile. Can your shoulders tolerate it? You must have been sore the next day. I love Sportsmed, they’ve done my hip, my knee, everything. Love their guys.
