Chest & Back Exercises: Upper Body Workout : Lat Pull Downs for Your Back Workout


Okay, now I’m going to show you how to do
a lat pull down using the rope from the high pulley on the cable. You want to make sure
again that the pulley is locked in. Safety feature there, ok. Take a step back.Your feet
are flat on the floor. Feet and knees together, your back is straight, again, slight bend
in your knees, that’s going to protect your lower back. Any kinda weight bearing exercises
that you’re doing from the top, you always want to make sure that your lower back is
protected. So you want to start here, again, slight bend in your elbows, just want to pull
that straight down and out. You want to begin here and end here. Your back is straight and
your neck is neutral with your spine. Again, any kind of weight bearing exercises you want
to make sure neck, your spine and your back are well protected. And the way you do that
is to keep everything in the natural alignment. Down. You want start about here and stay nice
and strong. Keep your back straight, nice and stabilized and down and back up. I’m going
to show you a few more.
Again, that’s the proper execution if a lat pull down using a high pulley and a rope.

  1. This guy from Express-village is the best so far on giving instructions on workout drills and on how to protect from injury. I just saw Greg Plitt on his chest workout (awesome) and he lowers his chest dumbbell fly too much… I would have done same as Plitt, had it not been for this guy (name?) who advises not to lower your dumbbells further than your shoulders. Man… Good job… keep more of this coming! You are on my favorites!

  2. try bending down. form a 90 degree angle with your legs and the upper part of your body and do the same motion. you feel a good stretch on your upper lats 😀

  4. a not to fellow youtube users who are of sane mind – this exercise is indeed a "pull down" not a "pull over" as "URIZEN the Negator" politely puts it to every one who disagrees with him. Also, please take time out to look at Urizen The Negator's youtube page, take a little look at the comment sleft on his page, hmmmm about sums this "thing" up. bets taken on a verbal outburst full of abuse from "the negator" on replying to this post! ha ha, happy new year folks!

  5. I appreciate the movie. Youtube is made for this form of thing.My cousin was formerly bullied. He stated he was gonna get bigger muscle and strength. I didn't believe him.
