The majority of these exercises are dysfunctional because they cause excessive lumbar flexion (forward bending), inhibiting lumbar paraspinal muscle recruitment and thereby increasing disc pressure. Looks sexy but will eventually cause disc instability. But don't take my word for it: look up disc pressure. Much like the forward bending in Pilates or yoga traditions, these are high risk versus benefit.
